Crowd Cooks' kitchen

Are you using local and seasonal ingredients?

Crowd Cooks sets very high standards when it comes to ingredients which is why we take great care in sourcing our ingredients responsibly. Our recipes are seasonal so we use local ingredients as often as possible – which is good for you as the ingredients are fresh and good for the planet with a reduction of kilometers travelled by the food.

Who cooks your dishes?

Our seasonal recipes are developed by us focusing on taste and nutritional value and they are cooked by our professional kitchen chefs and partners. All our kitchen partners are AFSCA certified and meals are prepared by professional cooks. We are aiming to surprise you with amazingly tasty, healthy food that makes you feel that you had a home cooked meal without having to cook it.

How do you ensure food safety?

All our fresh dishes are prepared in professional kitchens. All our kitchen partners are AFSCA certified and work according to GMP to maintain the highest hygiene standards for the preparation of food. They also have a HACCP system in place to control food safety. Both during storage and delivery of our meals we ensure the cold chain is respected. In addition to frequent internal controls we also test our meals regularly at the brufotec laboratory.

Why vacuum cooking?

Crowd Cooks produces its meals using the slow cooking sous vide technique. This technique was developed in the 1970s. Since then, high-end restaurants have been using sous vide cooking for years to cook food to the exact levels desired, every time. This technique produces results for taste and texture that are impossible to achieve through any other cooking method. Low temperatures ensure the preservation of nutrients. In addition, it also allows for better organization, reduced risk of contamination and better preservation without the use of additives or preservatives – a clear benefit for your health!
